Early Career Researcher? Conference bursaries available...

 

The Society understands that participating in events can be expensive, so are happy and able to support a number of early career researchers participate in its 2024 conference. 15 bursaries are available, which cover the (in-person) conference fee and includes:

  • Access to any session over the three days of the conference (24th - 26th September)

  • Daily refreshments and lunch

  • Food and drink reception (evening of Tuesday 24th September)

  • Early career social event (also on evening of Tuesday 24th September)

  • Conference dinner at Prested Hall Hotel (evening of Wednesday 25th September)

  • Coach travel to and from Prested Hall Hotel

 

Bursaries do not cover accommodation or travel costs.

Application requirements

  • You must be a student or within 5 years of PhD / or similar

  • You must be presenting on the programme

  • You must be a member of the SLLS

  • You must be able to supply a note explaining your reasons for requiring a bursary (up to 200 words)

  • You must be able to supply a short note from your supervisor confirming your early career/student status

  • You must not have received a bursary from the SLLS before
