Early Career Researcher? Conference bursaries available...

 

The Society understands that participating in events can be expensive, so are happy to be able to support a number of early career researchers participate in its 2026 conference. 20 bursaries are available, which cover the in-person conference fee only and includes:

  • Access to any session over the three days of the conference (Monday 29th June - Wednesday 1st July);

  • Daily refreshments and lunch during the conference;

  • Welcome drinks reception (evening of Monday 29th June);

  • Early career social event (following on from drinks reception);

  • Conference dinner (evening of Tuesday 30th June);

  • Access to one pre-conference workshop (Sunday 28th June)

Application requirements

  • Be a current student or within 5 years of PhD;

  • Be confirmed as presenting on the conference programme;

  • Be a member of the SLLS;

  • Not have received a bursary from the SLLS previously.

 

How to apply

  • Send an email explaining your reasons for applying for a bursary (up to 300 words), including the name and email address of your supervisor, to Cat Westlake (cwestlake@slls.org.uk)

Please note: bursaries do not cover accommodation or travel costs.
