Information for Presenters
Symposium and Individual Paper Sessions
Sessions last 1 hour and 20 minutes. Each presenter will have up to 14 minutes to present and handover. This leaves approx. 15 - 20 minutes at the end of each session for general discussion / Q&A. IT assistance will be on hand over the three days of the conference to help with any technical issues.
IMPORTANT: Fixed laptops are not installed in many of the presentation rooms, so we ask presenters to bring their own laptops to use in sessions. For back-up, consider bringing your slides with you on a memory stick or send a copy to Cat Westlake (cwestlake@slls.org.uk). Beamers will be available.
Chairing
Chairs are asked to keep speakers to the allotted presentation time. 2 and 5 minute timecards will be available in each room which can assist with this. Chairs are asked to open up the floor to questions after all presentations have taken place. Convenors of symposia are also asked to chair their own sessions.
Poster Presentations
Poster dimensions: DIN A0 - 841 mm (w) x 1189 mm (h).
Orientation: Portrait
Posters can be handed over on the morning of Monday 8th September to a member of staff at the registration desk. Posters will be put up for you and will stay on view until lunchtime of Wednesday 10th September. They can then be collected from the registration area.
Please label your poster/poster tube clearly for ease of collection.
